A little bit about me
I live in Brooklyn, NY and work out of my studio in Gowanus, BK. Visit me on instagram, or check out my studio James Land. In the paragraphs below I’ve provided something of a resume— but if you want to know my views on metaphysics, art, life and music, here’s my podcast and substack. And if you really want to know what I’m about listen to some of the music I’ve worked on. I hope my spirit comes through in my work.
Independent records I’ve produced, mixed and written have collectively over 70 million streams. My productions, mixes and songs have been featured on over a dozen Spotify New Music Friday playlists as well as official Spotify playlists: Global Viral Chart (#2), Spotify’s Top 50 Indie Songs of 2025, US Viral Chart, Canadian Viral Chart, Pop Rising, Lorem, Viral Hits, All New Indie, Soda, Fresh Finds (cover), Indie Pop, Anit-Pop (#2) , Jasmine, Chill Vibes, Weekly Buzz, Relax & Unwind, Mood Booster, Indie Acoustic, Night Pop, MTV Radar and more. I have played guitar and engineered on records by Zayne, James Bay, John Legend, Jas Von, Marshmellow, Mimi Webb, Rosie, Ben Platt. Had the pleasure of mixing a live version of James Bay’s (+ Mashmellow and Alesso) song “Chasing Stars.
I am also one half of the band Eighty Ninety. The band’s first single "Three Thirty" charted #2 on Spotify's Global Viral playlist and #23 on the Billboard velocity chart. We had the incredible fortune to witness Taylor Swift hand pick our follow up single “Your Favorite Song” for her official Spotify playlist “Songs Taylor Loves.” (Side note to Swifties: it was track 13).
